What We Do Donating

Our Syed Ammal Pasumaipadai has been donating numerous saplings throughout the year in and around Ramnad.

• We have a nursery at our Syed Ammal School campus where the saplings are grown and distributed throughout the district.
• The special attention is given to State Highways, National Highway, Educational Institutions and Government offices.
• We have been not only donating the plants, but also planting trees in and around Ramanathapuram to create awareness among the public who come involuntarily to receive saplings.
• People of Ramanathapuram take care of the trees and nourish them regularly.
• We donate the trees like Pungam, Neem, Nattu vaagai, Thoongu Vaagai, Manjal Kondrai, Sarakkondrai and Avi. One among these is the king of our soil is pungam. It is a legume tree which means that it adds nitrogen to the soil and enriches it. One more advantage of pungam tree is that the community can refresh in the shade and its leaves can be converted into compost or left in the ground to improve soil quality and that it turns will improve water retention.
• It is an air conditioned tree not shedding the leaves in all seasons.
